Re: Small Guide on PC's

You've gone pretty much as far as you can with this build, unless you upgrade the GPU again down the line. Thanks for the reply. So it’d have to be m/b & cpu for another step up in performance? Good to know, that can wait a while. Was wondering if I’d see any real gain installing faster RAM? Th...

Re: Use same machine and equipment on all game saves.

You can do that on PC by comping the vehicles XML to the new save. I pretty much do that on all new saves. You can also copy all your finances and stats.

You'll have to reset all the equipment though cause they can end up in funny places including underground.

Re: Console only question

If console users spend the time they complain about slot counts and lack of mods working toward funding a PC, they would be able to build a top of the line rig. I can't imagine a home without a PC these days. But giants needs to make an effort to bring their code to the current era. Consoles are no...

Re: Small Guide on PC's

Ah my mistake then. I assumed it was the same as Intel's non K processors. It's one that I'm sure alot of people do, pretty sure I thought the same while I was looking into it a all before I built mine. Another thing I saw is that you recommended getting 3600 ram, though, the mobos at least the one...

Re: Small Guide on PC's

Parts are pretty decent, although in my attempt to keep to a budget, I'll admit, I overlooked one factor, that being the CPU cooler, while a lot of the AMD processors come with stock coolers, I'm not sure how good they are for gaming. Below are 3 coolers that I'd likely go with. Hyper 212 Evo: http...

You can increase as far as you want in Game.XML if your card is capable enough. I go 2x the max in game setting.

You're not missing much. That particular drill is like FS 2011 quality.

Re: Small Guide on PC's

Ok here are my selections. Input and criticism are welcome as I know not what I am doing. :biggrin2: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Y9YcdX I will break it up into multiple purchases to account for the additional cost from my previous budget. Hopefully with additional time between each purchase will ...

Re: Small Guide on PC's

This should be able to easily run FS in 1080p, as well as blender and giants editor. It's a little bit over the budget you posted but not by much. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xXBNRJ Also yes, you do need to buy the operating system. 95% of enthusiasts on YouTube will tell you to buy the OS off a ...

This was a built in tool that adjusted everything automatically based on what cooler I have basically ... I only selected a gaming profile. The voltage parameter was also adjusted. I need to read up on things if I am going to do this manually ... never did anything like this before! Just google ove...

Re: Unlocking fps

I guess I have a weak CPU ... :neutralnew: I can see that one of the cores are sort of "peaking" when I get the frame drops ... but it does not reach 100% (only around 80 to 90-ish). Mostly it is running below 50%. I had a 6700k at 4.5 and it was a certainly worse than my 9600k. You defin...

Re: Unlocking fps

I have a 9600k oc’d to 5.2 which is pretty much the best single core performance on the market, the same as the 9900k and still get drops like that. Are you tweaking settings file? I used to double LOD, shadows, etc, for OG Fenton, but at Marwell and currently Greenwich I had to revert to "def...
