Re: The good small things in FS19
You know, instead of having ALL the mods listed in one pile, why not have two lists....one for mods activated and one for those that are not. That way, I don't have to scroll down the hundreds of mods I have just to pick out the one little new mod that I just added.

Re: Top 3 maps at the moment
Hmmm, let's see.......
1. Midwest
2. Holzer w/ Seasons
3. SwissTouch
I must warn you that if you want to play SwissTouch, you will get NO farm buildings and NO equipment, no matter which mode you start on. But it is a nice vertical map to play on.

Re: Holzer map bug
I just checked my map and I have the building. You seem to be missing the cow barn as well.
I just downloaded the map today.
Did you change the map with the two files provided for more plow-able fields?

Re: farm subsidies
<snip> Ok, pedant mode on. Obviously way back every farmer started from nothing. But there is no Forge of Empires FS mode where you start with horse and cart and gradually build up over centuries from there. What i’m saying is most modern farms (which is the only thing modelled in FS) are passed on...

Re: farm subsidies
Yourself? How many farmers IRL start from absolutely nothing? That’s totally unrealistic to me. This isn’t a game you ‘win’ at anyway - it’s for passing some spare time simulating farming activities. Once you’ve done the grind from scratch once in FS that’s quite enough as far as I’m concerned. Tha...

Re: farm subsidies
I agree with the starting equipment. Some things shouldn't be owned up front. Especially if you are running Seasons mod. You don't need a combine and header in winter. Sell it and just lease one when it comes time to harvest the crop. Also when you start out on 'hard' mode, you shouldn't really have...

Re: Mod management
I d/l any mod that I like, no matter what.
My issue is that I don't want to see Russian tractors for sale in a American map, just like I don't want to see Yankee stuff in a Irish map.
Other than that, I don't really care.

Re: farm subsidies
It's not so much cheating if your entitled to the payment most farmers wouldn't turn it down, we all know there are shady farmers, I knew one who claimed his field was empty all year and got the payment then put another farmers cows in unfortunately for him the satellite spotted them and that was t...

Re: farm subsidies
You know, you could just edit the XML file in the mod.
That is what I did......just removed a couple of zeros and now I am lucky to get $1k an hour from Uncle Sam.
(oh and rename the mod or the in-game mod hub will tell you it needs to be updated.

I think the medicine you want is Prozac.
I keep a bowl of it at my desk at work.

Re: Seasons farm prep
Until some GEO mods come out, expect it to be too cold to do much planting if any for a couple of days.
You can't plant but you can still plow and such.

Re: Updating FS17 script to FS19
So I checked the log file and it shows the mod loaded but with this one issue: FarmingSimulator2019/mods/FS19_Xxxxxxx/register.lua:6: attempt to index field 'specializations' (a nil value) if SpecializationUtil.specializations["xxx"] == nil then SpecializationUtil.registerSpecialization(&q...

Re: Goodbye FS-UK and Thanks
Yea, I was thinking of all the time I spent there from FS13 till now.
All those great mods from NI Modding and such.
Hopefully all those great mods they had there will still be available.

Updating FS17 script to FS19
I am attempting to update a certain script that I used in FS17 to use in FS19. All it does is adds sounds to certain vehicles when they are attached. The mod shows up in the in-game mod-hub and in the Pick List for a saved game. I am trying to beta-test it to see if it worked using the Ravenport map...

Re: For the factory lovers
Which xml files do you edit? I am not sure on the rules of showing people how to edit another persons work, that said I am sure that everyone does it! 1.Open the zip file, which in this case is the seed maker 2.Edit seedMaker.xml and look for line 81 if using notepad++ or the following code.. <fill...
