Re: Making the BGA more interesting
Well, there is a thing called the electric grid. You can sell or buy electricity from the grid. The BGA sells electricity to the grid. Your productions buy electricity from the grid, in the form of productions costs. If you own one but not the other, you still are allowed to interact with the electr...

Re: Pallet stacking is driving me nuts
Pallet loading shouldn't certainly be done if playing on x5 or x10 speed. For the amount of farming that you can get done, relative to the time it takes to move pallets, it doesn't seem balanced. There is an upcoming mod, which looks awesome - the Potatoe Factory - converting potatoes into premium p...

Re: Protein for pigs
You all are forgetting the economy settings. While on easy economy it certainly is more profitable to buy pig food, however at medium you will roughly break even, maybe lose a little, and at hard economy, it is a sure way to bankrupt the farm.

Re: Calmsden Farm Adventure
While a beautifully designed silo, its certainly not designed for quick unloaded. That's the one bad thing I noticed from Daggerwin's youtube series that he started 2 days before release (he was given an advance copy from OD to test). I certainly foresee a conveyor system being put in place there so...

Re: Crop prices and selling
Paying for and building self-annual storage is something most large farms end up investing in all the time, else pay the local co-op to store them. In FS22, lucky that rail station storage is free (there is a limit though, not a big issue unless doing SBs/Potatoes). Here is a good video for RL diffe...

Re: Lack of Contracts
Its normal, its because there's nothing to do in February if you've done all the other stuff. Only Cotton Planting is available in Feb - all tilling contracts from the AI would be finished being given out in November and December. Its normal for zero contracts to come out in January (no delivery or...

Re: How to get the useless silos in ElmCreek to hold crops
They designed the starter farm to be the center farm, same place you get for free when starting up farm manager. For more difficulty, you can use farm manager, pick any of the other farms, and sell the buildings in the landscaping demolish option (you get nothing for selling them) and you can replac...

Re: Double production rate?
I don't see any need to increase the production rates. Giants didn't pull these rates out of their buttocks. Its all balanced. The price difference you get between non-processed crops and processed crops, pays for the building itself in a 5-7 years, then its massive profit after that....like everyt...

Re: Fs 22 cows feed consumption and milk rate
Are the cows handling like in seasons in FS19 now? Taking a while before they're old enough to start milk production, and then producing more and more and eating more and more as their weight and age increase? Sorta...cows produce milk once they reach maturity and can begin to reproduce. However, t...

Re: Chicken breeding or eggs?
Are you better off maxing chickens in the coop for egg production or leaving room for the chickens to breed. You are better off maximizing eggs. I ran a test on this. It was fairly simple. In the large chicken coop, I sold off half the chickens. I kept the 180 that were reproducing that month. The ...

Re: husbandryAnimals.xml
I don't think there are any hooks to those files in the map files, so it appears Giants did not want custom animals to become a thing in FS22. Giants Unauthorized map mods could do some pretty sick things with that capability. There are some youtube videos that go through dairy consumption and produ...

Re: Cost of owning vehicles/equipment - Optimal time to replace - Detailed cost analysis
Thanks for the positive comments ;) Added a portion on used vehicles above. They are truly a bargain, as, possibly a bug, cause initial price to be set to the used price, so they are really cheap maintenance wise. Now that they have a good depreciation and wear/tear model, I'd like to see them in t...
