Does this happen when you try to wrap wet grass or dry grass? Dry grass worked for me yesterday using the wrappers from the Anderson DLC.

With regards to your straw issue, I’ve had that problem myself and disabling the straw harvest mod fixed it. Two maps I’ve played on and it caused this problem and by deselecting straw harvest fixed both maps...might be a coincidence?
