Re: BulletBill

Yeah the audio in FS is terrible but audio tends to be the thing that suffers most when a game gets optimised. Its another thing the two new consoles are apparently great for, particularly the PS5. There's now tons of bandwidth available for incredible sound effects. Be good if Giants take full adva...

Re: BulletBill

As we've spoken about in other threads I think a lot will depend on whether the new FS is being optimised for the new consoles and the new higher end PC graphics cards. If it is then I'm optimistic the environment and lighting will look a lot better than FS-19. If however the game is being made for ...

Re: BulletBill

FS-19 was a huge step side ways in most respects. The way the new lighting and graphics engine works vehicles and implements all look much better than they did in FS-17 but sadly the price the game paid for that is that it made the environment look much, much worse. The bright lighting makes all the...

Re: Farming simulator 21 release?

Just remember when you're considering how much cash revenue Giants make from sales across all platforms Sony and Microsoft take a 30% cut for each individual console sale. PC sales may well be less over all but the profit margin may be greater.

Re: Farming simulator 21 release?

I never got into Mudrunner but Snowrunner is much, much better. Much better visuals and the game world is just generally better looking and immersive. All that being said its a bit of a one trick pony and I can only really play it in small doses before becoming a bit bored. It can be massively frust...

Re: Farming simulator 21 release?

People keep talking about Mud Runner, but I've never played it... Does it even have buildings in it? Snowrunner is the much improved sequel to Mudrunner and yeah its got small towns and its really a very detailed world now compared to FS. There's a lot Giants could learn from it including the visua...

Re: Farming simulator 21 release?

The two things FS-22 will need to have to get me back into playing the sim is a big make over of the graphics engine and some form of deformable terrain. Thats all I'm interested in. Pretty much everything else I can live with as is. The game needs a big visual make over though. Looking at OxygenDav...

Re: Could these new consoles close the gap with PC gaming?

People who go on about consoles always having outdated hardware and always being behind the curve in terms of performance aren't really seeing the whole picture. Consoles are incredibly well optimised. Its why a 7 year old console - the PS4 - can play a game that looks as good as The Last of Us 2. G...

Re: Snowrunner

Been enjoying this a whole lot more since more mods have started to come out. Has anyone experienced a bug where by none of the trailers attach and you can't buy any from the trailer store?

Re: Reshade

I can get the Nvidea shaders working on my Steam version. They're pretty gimmicky though and not really worth it. The Re-shade package is much better.

Re: Reshade

Anyone using the Reshade program? I've got the full Re-shade bundle of shaders. The Lightroom shader is good for adjusting the colours and dialling away that horrible washed out look of the vanilla game. You can use it to saturate the blue sky more to got a more realistic hue plus I vignette the pic...

Re: fs17 revisited

I always think games succeed the most when they focus on appealing to their core fanbase rather than spreading themselves too thinly trying to appease everyone. Giants should really think about that because FS-19 fell into that trap I think. If they focused on pleasing people who play the game a lot...

Re: PC Negatives

The new colour swatch system in FS-19 opened a Pandoras box in the modding community for colour variations on tractors and combines. Want the option to have a luminous pink New Holland T7 with luminous purple wheels? No problem there's at least 100 of them clogging up mod sites. I get the impression...

Re: PC Negatives

When I moved from console to PC one of the things I was really looking forward to trying out were the big X4 maps. For me though the novelty soon wore off. Many of them lack the attention to detail I like and the few that do have a nice realistic feel to them just become really boring. Even with the...

Re: PC Negatives

If you're moving from console to PC one thing you'll notice pretty quickly, especially as far as maps is concerned is that quantity massively outweighs quality. With FS-17 there were a lot of really great mod maps that never made their way onto console for you to discover. With FS-19, for whatever r...
