Re: Tc5070 head width issue.
I think the header was labeled wrong. I have the Case 2188 and the 1030 20ft header and parking the TC5010 and varifeed header head to head with the case 2166 with the 20ft 1030 header they are the same width. That leads me to believe the varifeed header is mislabeled as far as its width.

Re: Future DLC SPECULATION: John Deere
To me it is funny that all of you are chomping at the bit for more John Deere equipment when in all the you tube videos I have seen of European farms the only things John Deere are tractors and forage harvesters. I have yet to see a single John Deere plow, disk, or planter with a John Deere markings...

Re: Weeds mod?
It is funny how some of the things I did when I was 12 to 18 years old on the farm would now be considered occupationally hazardous.

Re: Weeds mod?
Any way you look at it spraying is much better than walking a soybean field with a sickle bar mower tooth mounted to a shovel handle and cutting the weeds out of the beans. In 1962 this was my first farm job. I got paid a quarter an hour and was in the field from first light till 4:30P.M. The old ma...

Re: Marwell Manor Question
I believe that you just use a trailer and transfer the sheep from the pasture by the cattle barn to field 17. You have to buy field 17 first.

If we are after a Gleaner, how about a WD 45 Diesel, A D21, and make sure the gleaner is a G 98.

Re: A couple probably stupid questions....
I am pretty sure the reason that people use MacDon headers over the John Deere, Case IH, Massey Ferguson, and the others is that MacDon was the first to use the draper configuration in mass production. It gave the farmer the ability to use a 30% wider header on a combine than the screw headers built...

@yeahrightio: Here is a web page that has a lot of Cockshutt tractors pictured. Maybe you can tell if any look like Deutz Fahr. I can't.

Re: Mod question-financing
As a kid I remember my mom and dad sitting down the first of January and pulling out the file box of farm bills and sorting them out. It took two weeks of sorting and organizing then sending them to the tax man and him sending back requests for more information for some of the paperwork. Dad's farm ...

Re: Case equipment
@Yeahrightio: I am sure that there were other tractors besides the Versatile tractors made by Canadian companies but I am not thinking of any right now. I believe the Steiger was built in Minnesota before the plant was moved to Fargo, North Dakota. The current Case IH and New Holland are built in th...

@yeahrightio: The only CO-OP tractors I have seen looked like the ones on this web page. https://www.tractorhouse.com/listings/farm-equipment/for-sale/list/category/1100/tractors/manufacturer/co-op As far as I know Steiger CO-Op tractors were not sold south of the Canadian border. I also have not be...
