Re: Estancia Lapacho
So we agree to disagree, I can see that Estancia wouldn't be some people's idea of an enjoyable map but equally you can appreciate that I and others like it. I only dispute that people say it lacks quality - there is a lot to the map (like the completely new vegetation throughout) that has clearly t...

Re: Estancia Lapacho
My argument is that maps are a personal preference and that is subjective - you can't necessarily argue it based on definitive attributes. Things that I like about Giants maps others will cite as their major objections and things I don't like about modded maps other people will be prepared to overlo...

Re: Estancia Lapacho
No, quite the opposite, I'm suggesting that you seem to be forcing your map preferences onto everyone else. You don't like Estancia so nobody else must due to its poor 'quality'. Are you reading the posts the right way round?

Re: Estancia Lapacho
Every minute spent moaning on here about a map that you don't personally like is a minute you could be spending more productively to be fair. What you like about your favourite map wouldn't appeal to others (especially those who are new to the game which Giants has to consider with its maps) so your...

Re: Estancia Lapacho
That's not even a fair arguement. If anything, a passive defense and excuse that Giants can use to their advantage. If you don't like it don't buy it attitude. Whether I like the map or not, whether other people like the map or not... is irrelevant. Whether the maps sells well and is loved by all, ...

Re: Loose Silage and the Biogas Plant
You probably hit the 50k hopper limit - that's all it can hold until its had a chance to digest what you deposited. It works in gametime so if you speed up the time multiplier just while you're unloading you will avoid hitting the limit. There's a digital counter next to the hopper that tells you ho...

Re: The Ultimate Guide To Seasons On Hard?
Another +1 for not understanding how people have nothing to do. :confusednew: You're playing on 15x speed - thats the answer right there. Playing on 1x which is what I've always done, and having been used to turning around the whole GCV map on a daily basis I find myself accelerating time a lot wit...

Re: 1 Fert state versus 3 fert state.
1) I believe weeding is just considered by the game to be a state of fertilising so it would give full yield boost if done alone when playing 1 fertiliser state and no other fertilisation having been done. If the field has been fertilised before or during sowing there would be no point (or gain) to ...

Re: The Ultimate Guide To Seasons On Hard?
I do like the added dimension Seasons has given FS17 and I agree it makes it more of a simulator. But, I have to agree with Farmer216 in that I now do far less actual farming than before. I typically have a few fieldwork jobs to do each day, top up the animals' feed and then I'm speeding up time to ...

Re: Silage bale price, is this intended?
Try playing with seasons - there seems to be no real easy win for money with that mod and the arable farming aspect is more realistic. Even buying and keeping animals is more strategic with seasons.

Re: Silage bale price, is this intended?
Silage bale price on normal is too high imo. As you say, the loose silage price never comes close to bettering it. On hard there is a better range of loose price to overlap the bale price but the game as a whole is too much of a grind on hard. So no, there is no better profit to get from the game th...

Re: Horsch AgroVation DLC
Its a shame this comes as a mod pack - there are maybe a couple of pieces of machinery I would use but that doesn't quite warrant the amount of mod space it takes to have all the ones I wouldn't. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for all mods that come to consoles, but after all the fuss that was mad...
