If you're on pc, you could also try the ground modification mod. It can create some concrete or dirt tracks so it looks less like a building in the middle of a field.

that's understood,
I can confirm I have now tested a few more modhub ploughs and the 'create fields' function is working fine with those, so it does seem to be only this particular plough that has the issue.

OK, I had a reply from Decker_MMIV & he kindly permitted me to use his starter field scripts, but I still need to contact Igor29381 about the mud mod.

I'm sorry I've never done a 4x map so I'm not sure, but in your map i3d, have you changed the numDensityMapChannels to 12( or 14) ? I kept notes of how I did mine on a normal size map.
