Re: Good day to be a farmer!

I just checked it out myself, looks great. The review videos I saw were of a different version of the map I reckon. There were horses running around in pastures on the map and they were assumed to have been causing the frame issues. At any rate, what we have on ps4 feels good.

Re: Good day to be a farmer!

It looks great. Please let us know if you get frame rate drops around the map. I saw a review of it on PC and there was some pretty harsh dips. Would be fantastic to hear that's not the case for us on console.

Re: FS19 to have new game engine ?!?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention Craig. Perhaps this upgrade means I won't get lag in my single player game! Looking forward to the improvement

Re: [INFO] Console mods - currently in testing

I still keep a log of prices to help me decide when to sell.

Roadkill, if I'm not mistaken pine cove is made by Stevie and his maps are PC exclusive. They won't be coming to console.

Re: Black sheep modding thread #2

I won't take the time to count posts but I think there's a high probability there are more posts of folks complaining about mod complainers, than there are mod complainers. It's some inception stuff going on. Bottom line is this forum is a drag lately. A few guys moan about a mod for no good reason,...

Re: Seasons Mod Thread #2

9 days is fine for a decent chunk of land. On tvtof I have about 200 hrs and maybe 40% of the fields on 9 days without much problem. About to start year 3. First 50 or so hours were without seasons before the mod was released. So at my rate I cover a year every 50hours or so. I play on 5x when neces...

Re: Seasons Mod Thread #2

Germination window and planting window are the same for the mod. If the soil isn't warm enough by the end of the green bar the plant won't grow. Corstaad, when you say "Was this breakdown or was this just a automatic charge for not maintaining the equipment." this is really the same thing....

Re: Seasons Mod Thread #2

I understand rodha, but thanks for pointing it out. As I mentioned in my post I wasn't getting warm enough soil by the end of the germination period in more years than not. Might be just poor luck, but it was enough to turn me away. I did like the rain and the challenges it presented. I tend to agre...

Re: Seasons Mod Thread #2

I attempted to use Wales geo on west coast. I was very interested in its realism and difficulty. Unfortunately, after a few years with 9 day seasons I decided to change geo. It seemed more common than not that soil temperature would prevent me from planting corn and soybeans. I'm not sure if I've ju...

Re: Straight line driving...

You can use the coords on the minimap as long as you are traveling along cardinal directions (90,180,270, 360 deg). I'd only recommend this for folks that are interested in navigation. Assuming true north is the top of the map: The first number changes as you move left to right (east to west). Trave...

Re: New possibilities for console?

Changes in this game are segmented, not dynamic. Foliage and crop textures change on a schedule, the change sweeps over the map in steps, it's not gradual. The processing power necessary to handle the economy is minute, calculators can do it. The hunting game, skyrim, and the other examples have dyn...

Re: New possibilities for console?

^^^ not always the case. Performance also relies on the games design and engine. I'd say most current console games have superior graphics. My last statement mentioned the Hunter, great example. Also consider battlefield 1, elite dangerous, witcher 3, gran turismo, ark survival evolved (popular game...

Re: New possibilities for console?

Sure courseplay would be dandy, but my greatest grievance with FS on console is twofold: 1) Graphics are awful compared to current generation games. The excuse of studio size doesn't fly - look at the Hunter, Call of the Wild for example -. 2) Performance is awful*. A few bales and a handful of trac...

Re: Seasons Mod Thread #2

It's because silage bails are too profitable in base game. RM agreed according to other posts. This is especially the case in normal or easy mode. On TWC you could buy the whole map by making about 800 bales in normal mode. On hard mode with seasons, silage bales pay quite little, (which I'm ok with...
