[No Bug] Header trailers missing straps and not holding headers

Post by Krahazik »

Applies to all header trailers. Missing straps. There is no method for securing the header to the trailer resulting in the header falling off the trailer easily. This combined with a lack of any way to pickup the header without the harvester renders the trailers all but useless and more annoying to deal with.

Additionally, there is no identification on any of the trailers to identify which headers the trailer would work best with.

All header trailers use a dynamic attacher which holds the header in place. It's all about proper positioning on the header trailer. Once I learnt that, I had no problem anymore with lost headers. It takes a little more time to position the header though. As rule of thumb you need to place your header quite centered on the trailer slighty offsetting to the right looking from behind trailer.

There are some mod trailers out there providing better fit to certain ingame headers. But for the ingame trailers it goes like this:
TAM Leguan 24 --> headers up to 24ft
TAM Leguan 40 --> headers up to 40ft
That said the 25ft headers from JD and MF are too big for the Leguan 24. But as mentioned, there are modified versions of the Leguan 24 out there which provide a longer drawbar and therefore support those larger headers.

On most combines you can fold in the straw spreader. Make sure to do that prior to attaching the trailer to the combine to avoid collision.
