[No bug] 3420-100 Paralink Hoe Drill - seeds when raised

Post by ReubyJuice »

- PC/Mac/PS4/XB1: PC
- Vehicle/Tool/Model/Object: 3420-100 Paralink Hoe Drill
- Issue: The drill starts seeding as soon as turned on, even if it is not lowered. This allows seeding at tractor maximum speed rather than the actual working speed of 18 km/h. When the drill is lowered, the tractor slows down to 18 km/h.
- Single- or Multiplayer: Single player
- Steps to reproduce: Attach Paralink Hoe Drill to tractor, unfold, turn on.
- Does it happen on a standard map without mods yes/no: Not tested
- Which vehicles & machines are involved: 3420-100 Paralink Hoe Drill pulled by John Deere 9RX from Bourgault DLC

I can confirm the above findings, the air seeder plants in the "up" position. I can plant at some 16mph, double what it should be.

I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but is it just the 100 footer, or is the 76 affected, too?

No, it does not. And, for some reason, when I used the 100 foot one, it didn't plant while up, the wheels just destroyed old crops.

I have been using only this seeder since the release because I had reserved all my fields just to able to use this seeder.
As of today I seeded almost 60 ha on 6 fields and never had such issue. May be it is because I never drive around with a turned on seeder. I always turn it off when turning.
But I can confirm that some portions of the seeder does tocuh the ground even when it is raised if the ground is not 100% flat. May be those portions can seed if the seeder is on.

That is the answer given by Giants in another section of the forum, maybe an answer will come from them in here.

Hey guys,

yes, we had another look at this and tried to reproduce it. IT seems to be related to the ground elevation, so as RODHA said, if the ground is not even and the seeder touches the ground it starts sowing even when raised.

cheers

Maybe adjust the seeder to *only* work when in the "down" position?, that would avoid it seeding in the "up" position on uneven ground.
