Store Icons für Mods erstellen

Die aktuell Version des Icon Generators ist im GDN verfügbar. Eine Anleitung befindet sich beigelegt als PDF.

Bei Fragen oder Feedback schreibt einfach unter dieses Thema. Bugmeldungen bitte mit Log File Inhalt als Nachricht hier im Forum an mich.

Geniale Sache!

Allerdings hängt sich das Programm nach dem Erstellen des Bildes auf und verharrt beim Stand "Converting Icons". Das Bild wurde zwar erstellt, aber der Schatten fehlt. Mir bleibt dann nichts anderes übrig, als das Programm dann über den Task-Manager zu beenden.

Wenn ich unten auf Log-File klicke, dann wird mir zwar das Log-File angezeigt, aber ich komme nicht mehr zurück. Hier hilft auch nur der Task-Manager

Auch werden die Pfadangaben nach einem Neustart nicht immer übernommen. Der Mods-Ordner z.B. ist zwar dann noch eingetragen, aber rot hinterlegt.

Sollte das auch bei Gebäude funktionieren? Bei mir tuts das nicht, der Editor wird geöffnet, es gibt jede Menge Script-Fehler und dann bleibt der Editor offen. Ich sehe das Gebäude und nichts weiteres passiert dann.

Ich habe für beide Vorgänge die Log-Files angehängt.

Bei mir wird die Editorversion nicht erkannt....

Die Log vom Editor und die Log vom Generator habe ich mal mit angehängt.


Folgende Lösungsversuche ohne Erfolg:
-Alle vorhandenen Editorversionen gelöscht, den 8.1er nochmal neu installiert und PC neu gestartet
-Generator mehrfach gelöscht und komplett neu ausgeführt (Erstellte Dateien inbegriffen)
-Generator als Administrator ausgeführt

Tolles Teil. *thumbsup* Danke dafür.

:!: Eine Sache würde mir aber noch besser gefallen. Und zwar: Wenn man oben einen anderen Pfad für die Mods eingibt, dass dieser genauso wie das
Custom Save Directory gespeichert würde.

Folgender Hintergrund: Ich hab im Modverzeichnis nur die gepackten Versionen der Mods und das erstellen der Mods mache ich in einem ganz anderen Pfad.

Es funktioniert so zwar auch mit umstellen des Verzeichnisses, aber nach jedem neustart des Generators ist wider das Modverzeichnis des Spiels drin.

Desweiteren wäre es schön, wenn man die Abfrage, ob das Verzeichnis geöffnet werden soll, abstellen könnte.

Sorry, ich weiss, das werden jetzt wieder viele für meckern auf hohem Niveau halten. :blushnew:

Moin moin Stefan!

Ich habe gleich beim Start schon drei Fehler in der Log (siehe Spoiler), obwohl das Teil korrekt eingerichtet ist und es funktioniert auch.

Der "FS Icon Generator" erkennt auch Mods, die ein Leerzeichen im Ordner-Namen beinhalten, das Generieren der Icons klappt dann aber nicht. Das sollte vielleicht noch harmonisiert werden. Festgestellt habe ich das, weil ich vorhergehende Versionen eines Mods als Backup manchmal "auskommentiere", indem ich absichtlich ein Leerzeichen in den Ordnernamen einfüge.

Am Ende hängt sich das Programm immer auf, der Dialog "Converting Icons..." bleibt dann stehen und ich muss das Programm mit dem Task-Manager beenden, das Store-Icon wurde dann aber schon erstellt, das Teil funktioniert also. :smileynew:

Bei einem Store-Bild fehlte ein ganz klein wenig unten beim Reifen, weil der Trecker etwas zu tief rauf kommt.

Hier die im mittleren Teil gekürzte Log (da zu lang für den Spoiler) nach Generierung des Store-Bildes (Programm hängt sich ganz am Ende auf):

Also verhält sich das Programm bei dir im Grunde genauso wie bei mir mit den Fehlern, das ist ja schon mal beruhigend. Wurden denn bei dir der Schatten mit erstellt?

Der Schatten hängt immer davon ab wie hoch das Fahrzeug in der i3d platziert ist. Im optimalen Fall wäre die Unterkante der Räder genau bei 0, da dies leider nicht immer der Fall ist, gibt es in der XML den Wert "shopTranslationOffset" unter storeData. Damit kann man ein Offset angeben um das das Fahrzeug verschoben wird. Dies wirkt sich dann auch auf den Ingame Shop aus, somit kann man verhindern dass die Fahrzeuge beim spawnen dort erst ein paar Zentimeter runter fallen.

Mit der Einstellung "Automatic Height" kann man das auch automatisch für das Store Icon kalkulieren lassen.

An den gemeldeten Bugs bin ich dran und es wird Zeitnah ein Update geben.

Ok, dann hat das mit den Schatten schon mal nichts mit den Fehlern zu tun. Ein erste Versuch mit Automatic Height hat aber leider auch nicht zu Schatten verholfen. Hier heißt es dann wohl ein wenig ausprobieren.

Trotz der Fehler ein Wahnsinsstool! *thumbsup*

Das Schattenproblem habe ich gelöst. Da ich bei der Bearbeitung meiner Karte das Profil meistens auf "Low" stelle, war dies noch die Voreinstellung die der Icon Generator beim Öffnen des GE übernommen hat. Folglich fehlten auch die Schatten. Mit der Einstellung "Very High" war es dann perfekt.

Also bei mir wird, egal was ich mache kein Schatten generiert..
Der XML EIntrag bringt auch nix.

Hast du auch mal geschaut, welches Profil bei dir im GE einstellt ist? Es sollte für die beste Qualität auf Very High stehen (dann gibt's auch Schatten).

Bei mir tut sich da nix unter Win 7 mit der Steam Version vom LS19
Der Editor wird noch geöffnet und dann ändert sich mein Mauszeiger irgendwann zum Ladekreisel und es passiert nix mehr.
