Flood Light Mod

Hello,

I was trying to get the flood lights to work with a mod I downloaded. The instructions say this in German:
1. Heruntergeladene Datei in die Map entpacken
2. Map mit dem Giants Editor öffnen
3. Objekt importieren und ausrichten
4. Map speichern
Throwing that into Google Translate gives me this (Since I'm not able to read German):
Unzip the downloaded file in Map
Map open with the Giants Editor
Fit object import and
Map store
What I did in the editor was to import both .i3d files then find one of the light towers and click on it. Then click Edit>Replace... then loaded the imported modded flood lights and clicked replace.

Now when I save the map and start the game, it gives me the error saying that the files have been tampered with and wants me to reinstall. The error makes sense since I made some changes with the map.

When I go into my current saved game, the game never loads. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong since this is the first time I've used Giants Editor. Any ideas?

Hello Again,

After finding that some of the floodlight mods weren't working because they weren't in the same file. I put those into the same directory but now I don't see a reason why the map isn't loading. The only error that would be preventing opening would the foliage related error. Here is my log:

So I think I may have figured out my problem.

Is it because I can't modify the original map at all so I have to use a modded map to make the flood lights work and do some of my own modifications?

Right, you have to use a mod map (best: copy of the SampleModMap located in SRS/sdk/) and put it in the mod folder.

The best thing for mapping ist to unzip the SamplemodMap in Desktop/SampleModMap, edit it, and put it zipped back in the mod folder. If you've done all this steps right, it will work without any log prints. (OK, there are still some possible mistakes, but they can happen also with the standard map.

Should I be importing and then replace all with modded floodlights and replace the file in the objects file?
