Zip files

Post by FarmerJohn01260 »

:hmm: Hi, I have FS2013 on disc for PC, I can download mods and they go straight to the game, but when I try to save an extracted zip file the computer says that there is no file to attach it to. What is going wrong, is it human error or zip file error, or computer.

Please help. Cheers FarmerJohn01260

Hi, thats mostly Human Error ;)

You have to pack all Files direct in ZIP Folder.
If you ZIP the Folder of Mod, you are false with it.

If you open the ZIP file you have to see the moddesc.xml file.

Best solution to Pack some Mods is first open the Folder, mark all files and Folders, than rightklick and compress to new zip file.
Make sure that you save a ZIP file, not RAR or some others.

FS will only support ZIP Files, normal or strong Compression.

Did it work?

Also, before I updated my game, I had to unzip every mod. Once I updated my game to 2.1 (Click to update your game) then all I had to do was place in mods folder and then it worked.

Just dealt with the zip file issue, and after a few failed tries, guess what. IT WORKED.
Brilliant, thanks very much.
