iOS Game Save

My iPad mini got smashed, so i am trying to load my game save onto my ipad 2. both devices are running the latest version (1.3.3).
I can see the save files in my icloud account on my ipad2, but when starting the game, if i click the cloud button it shows no save games in the cloud.

Has anyone managed to get save games across devices?
