hay straw bales

My hay and straw bales keeps disappearing. Is there a numerical limit on bales of hay? I know I have made over 200 hay and straw bales last night and another 200 just a while ago.

Yes there is a limit to the number of bales your console can process without causing the frame rate to drop noticeably, so the game removes them before that point.
You'd think they'd mention it somewhere though, I believe most console users got to find out in the same way!
