Preasure washers

I keep getting a message that I can't place a pressure washer. what is the criteria for placing them? Do I need to own the property they sit on or do they need to be near water??

You don't have to own the land and they don't need to be near water but if you try to put them to close to an object( building, tree etc) you will get that message. You should be able to just move it around until it turns green and then you can place it.

I like clean equipment pretty colors all I have at the moment is very dirty equipment.

Yea ... I find this a bit frustrating at times.
There are areas around the map that you basically can not put down any placeables at all ... typically around the saw mill, sell points, gas stations etc ...
I think also, you can not use the "tip anywhere" function in these areas (not sure though) !?
