Courseplay causing slow startup of savegame

Anyone know of a trick to get a savegame to come up faster when you have courseplay? I am using the Iowa and Oklahoma Mod Maps with courseplay, the more courseplay maps I have the slower the savegames load. I love these big maps, but courseplay makes it so much more fun.

I can remove the courseplay xml's from the savegame and everything loads just fine.

All I can think of is to minimise the number of courses you have saved, especially ones which have a large number of waypoints. I never save courses for fieldwork, as they take seconds to set up, and take up a lot of space.
Equally, if you have several courses driving across the map to different sell points, say, you can instead record one course to just outside the first sell point, then have different courses leading on from there to the different end points and back, with a single return course.
You can do the same thing with groups of fields, and soon get the size of your courseplay file down.
