I only apply it when the weeds grow/show in the fields. Just check your map and toggle to the 3rd section I believe that shows: fertilizer, lime & weeds, something in that range.

That doesn't apply to fs15.
In fs15 there is one stage, or maybe two, of fertilisation and it can be done at any time.

Doesn't soil mod add herbicide? I dont have first hand experience with it in 15 (used it in 13 though).

Had a look on the mods description on fsuk and it simply says in the basic workflow
'when weeds appear spray herbicide'

Although it did mention pre-spraying fields as well so would probably be best to try and find some documentation about it.

Assuming that is you are using soilmod.

Thanks for the pointers from all. Soil Mod is not installed. Gaming on Central California Valley and after a couple of crop rotations, weeds show in fields. Will continue to experiment........ Thanks again. Actually wondered if anyone still uses FS15 .

Yeah fair point. It was just the main thought I had with fs15 and weeds.

Interesting. I've had a quick look at the map and appears the weeds count as another fruit type (or at least seemed that way). So do they appear on their own, or along side a crop?

I don't personally still play fs15. But I believe there are some who do (judging off the steam forums which still have a few infrequent posts). Though you might find someone else on here who at least played that map.

Is the map called California Central Valley? If I recall that map also has 30 in game days between growth cycles.

I played that one quite a bit. Has some really unique features. Very uniotimized though.

Seems less than 3 game days from plant to harvest but I run fast growth on Easy

Procobator did you happen to play the 17 version of this map as well? Is growth set up the same way?

I briefly played the 17 version. There was quite a bit of changes. If my memory serves me correctly it had the normal growth time frames that the base FS17 had.

Yes..... California Central Valley map on FS15 ! After 2 crop rotations with heavy Herbicide applications seem to have no effect on weed and grass growing in the fields. Will this just be something I have to tolerate or can I get assistance to locate the spawn for this and delete it? Also ........... no soilmod installed.

About to give up on this map anyway. Weeds are getting worse, bought a feedlot to fatten cattle. Hauled product in filling storage, grass into the silo for silage, started filling feed bunks and next time in game was locked out ....... wanted me to purchase something I already owned. Half the time my hired workers only go 50 yards and quit. Supposed to be version 3...... Can't imagine how bad #1 was
