Krone ultima game wont load

I have downloaded the krone ultima mod, and have attempted to use it on two different maps. Both cases, after buying and using the bailer, the map refused to load, after I've saved and exited the game. I did go to Bm website, downloaded and installed the "hotfix", did not make a difference. Any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong.
In each case I made about 20 silage bales, they never seemed to ferment, had the bales stored in various shelters.
I'm playing the game on steam, using a 2013 macbook pro, In both cases when I went in and removed the krone from my mod folder the game loaded fine, just lost all the bales.

Any help would be appreciated.
