Steering wheel issue - thrustmaster t150

Hi,
Checked various threads about steering wheels. I read the press release ahead of buying the t150 as a gift for Xmas. Said this wheel was plug and play compatible.

When the wheel is plugged in and wheel set as on the game reloads. Great just as indicated. However when game re-opens, the game menu acts as though someone has the down key permanently pressed. If by chance I get it into the game, it simply drops the camera down to look at feet and walks backwards and does nothing else.

Anyone advise what the tweak is as I have read many people saying this wheel works fine.

I can change the axis settings in wheel/pedal software, although if plug and play, i would hope it would auto sort rather than having to change settings every time they want to play fs2015 instead of other games.

Will try axis edit tomorrow but posting on here in case there is something else obvious I am missing
