Screen goes blurry

Post by JayStu »

The game has been working for about 3 weeks with no issues. I went downstairs to get a drink came back and the screen was blurry. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the game but nothing seems to be working. Please help.

It could be your monitor or the cable you have plugged in to the graphics card to the monitor. I had a DVI-I cable that crapped out on me. Try wiggling your cable and find it's sweet spot. My DVI-I to VGA adapter did that to me and had to wiggle it, in it's sweet spot.

if your on PC/Mac it looks to me like overheating of the GPU

e.g. check for build up of dust on heat-sinks and dust-off if necessary, also check the GPU fan hasn't failed, or if you only have one case-fan, check that is working too, and maybe try to run it with the side off you PC case to make sure case heat isn't a problem.

also download TechPowerUp GPU-Z, which can display GPU fan speed and other things on a graph in real-time including GPU temperature etc.

Ah, thanks for telling me that it is a laptop. Sorry, the images don't come in on my school laptop and the images' website is blocked. :sadnew:

May we see your log.txt to see if there are any problems that could be causing this problem? How to post log.txt is in my signature. :smileynew:

well you can get the latest patch from http://www.farming-simulator.com/update ... country=gb which will update Fs15 to v1.4.2 rather than the v1.3.0.1 you have.

you may also want to download the latest Nvidia drivers for your, GeForce GT 720M, as v353.62 are a bit old.
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us

but I don't think that will fix your problem, given you said it was working and the method of its failing, but it would rule the above out, but I still think its heat related.

In addition to @b101uk's post, try your graphics settings on "Low" and the sampling (everything else on the graphics page) "Off".

You still have version 1.3 of the game installed. As already mentioned please update the game to version 1.4.2.
