Things I've noticed so far about the game...

Post by Blain1971 »

I am sure this is far from everything new, but this is what I have been able to see in the teasers and some of the videos taken at Games Con. Yes, some are obvious, some are not considering the 'quick cuts' style of editing in the teasers.

1. Harvesters have cutting animations.
2. Vehicles and implements are all washable.
3. Vehicles leave dust trails and tracks in the dirt.
4. Monitors inside the cab display real time information.
5. Working mirrors.
6. Workers can be hired for fertilizing / Spraying.
7. A folding corn header (Capello) has been included for the CASE harvesters.
8. A pick up truck is included in the vehicles.
9. A low-boy trailer is included in the game.
10. Cultivators and plows have their own 'working' animations with moving parts and ground animations for moving dirt.
11. Square bales do not slide as if on ice when they are dropped from the baler.
12. Bales can be picked up with the bale spike without the entire stack exploding and scattering everywhere.
13. Moving trains, for selling off logs.
14. Vehicles slow down when going up an incline.

I'm not going to believe that they have fixed bale physics until I handle them myself. Their cuts in the videos don't show picking up the bales, just shows them getting close then cuts back when they have them picked up. I could make it look like that with editing in FS 13.

Other than that I'm excited for the new game.

I'm really not convinced the physics are fixed, although now that we have logs to roll around and load on trucks, I really, really hope they are. We'll see on Thursday.

From what I've seen so far I am guessing Soil management is not in the base game, but give the modders a couple of weeks, it'll be there. :biggrin2:

I am glad they include spraying for hired hands. that is the way fs14 is. then I got fs13 and had to do the spraying myself. it is a chore really slowing me down on my farming technique. will try to download it this afternoon.

2 maps, no soil management, no preorder bonus vehicles.

But yeah, the helpers can now spray fields! They sometimes get confused and start spraying my neighbors' field instead, but it's much better than not being able to do it at all. They still can't cut grass, however.
