Crops withering too quickly

Is there a way to slow down the withering of crops in some setting? Or is there a mode that can slow this process down a bit?

You can change the plant growth in your settings menu. Press 'Escape' and scroll to the right, here you can change the growth and also 'Plant withering' on and off.
