What all is affected by difficulty level setting?

Post by Farmer John 16 »

I was wondering about all the things that change with the difficulty level. I know you start with less money and crops are worth less; but are there other things? I'm playing a game on hard difficulty in Westbridge Hills and it seems to be taking a lot longer to compact silage.

Well, you are maxed out debt of $200,000. But I never play hard.

The difficulty level affects following things:
- The crop prices (including milk, wool, eggs, wood, ...)
- The amount of money you start with
- The amount of crops in your storage you start with
- The loan you start with ( that's 150k on hard settings, btw)
- The loan interest rate
- The feed usage from the animals
- The income per hour from placeables
- The time and rewards for the missions
- The biogas plant silos fermenting and compacting duration
- The hired worker wage

Thanks for that list, Bassaddict. I always thought that the crop yields (when doing a harvest) were also tied into difficulty, but I guess that isn't the case

Thank you very much! That's exactly what I was looking for.
