Can't sell mod at the vehicle shop

I have a disk I've fixed up. The person before me removed some soil finishers from the back of the disk, and made a bit of a hash of it. The disk had some call stack errors and some "can't load resource" errors, and it wasn't sell-able at the vehicle shop prior to my fixing the errors. There are no errors or warnings in my log, but the only way it can be sold is to go through the player's Garage. Anyone have any ideas?
