I've never tried the missions. When you accept a mission, does the game provide the necessary tractor and/or equipment needed to complete the mission?

Nope, you have to buy the equipment. What I do (sometimes, very rarely I do this), is accept all of the them and wait until I buy the equipment that is needed for it.

In a way it's stupid that you first need to buy the equipment before you even can do the mission. But then again, you would get a (free) vehicle/equipment. That is the big reason, I never do the mission. Tried it early on, but kinda hated it.
