Hay turns to grass in bailer

After mowing I teddered the grass to make hay. The grass changed from dark green to light green indicating the change to hay. However, when I start bailing, it shows as grass. I also tried using a collecting trailer and it does the same thing. I dump it out and its dark green grass again. Any ideas?? Playing on Xbox 1.

You probably play with seasons active. in seasons the ligth green is semi-dry grass, you get it by either cut normal grass with a moisture lower than 20% or tedding normal grass. After that you have to wait for it to dry, you obviously need drying condition: no rain and as hot as possible.

That makes sense. I just started with seasons, so I was unaware of the trying time. Thanks!
