I hope they show a bit more of the dlc soon. The big bud might be nice and big, but it needs the right environment to thrive. And perhaps the right attachments.
Kind regards
Rolf

What if? for the future,FS18/19/20
Add a dog or dogs to the animals, most farmers have at least one dog to use with sheep or cattle or for security or to control vermin.
Add farm cat or cats to keep vermin down.
Add vermin (Squirrel, rats, mice, rooks, fox, etc)
Add other wildlife to suit maps origin, (USA bears, couger, snake, beaver, moose, bald eagle. Europe bear, lynx, elk. UK badger, hare, rabbit. golden eagle, etc)
Add alpaca to animals, supply premium quality wool and meat. Act as guardians if with sheep. Now large market in UK.
Adjust the breeding rate for the animals. Sheep have average 2 lambs per year in the spring, pigs have two litters per year of 6 to 12 piglets per litter any time, cattle have one or two carves per year. Male animals are usually kept seperate from females year round except for breeding.Sale of good breeding bulls, tups and boars gives very high price)
The wool production from sheep should be a once per year happening (early summer) when all the sheep are sheared. The only other income would be the sale of lambs (all the male lambs and some of the females to keep the overall numbers to suit the ground area available)(late spring).
Allow area for animals to be expanded or extended (field next door). When on open ground there are recommended animals numbers per unit area of ground.

Also( may have to be FSVintage 18/19/20 for the amounts of memory used)
Vintage farming from the time of Jethro Tull, through the steam era stationery, traction and plough steam engines, petrol(gas) engines tractors, early single cylinder diesel tractors, upto the start of the 1950's Furgi with the 3 point linkage and the begining of the modern tractor. Steam engines where run by contracter who would take a percentage or a fixed daily rate. Individual farmers may own a stationery engine but not plough or traction engines as there is insufficiant work year round to use these heavy machines, you booked your spot with the contractor. Similar to the USA combine contractors who start work in Texas in spring and finish in Canada when it snows.
There are Mods for horses and oxen listed for FS17. Having two teams of twenty horses (one for am the other team for pm)to pull a harvester in the USA was not uncommen.) In the UK one to four horses or oxen is about the limit.

The weather. Between two and severn years apart there is the El Nino weather event which brings various extreme conditions to all parts of the world giving poor to bad growing conditions. Could this be a variable to add? Is your farm is prepared for winds, rains, snow or drought? At least if you can grow crops when others cannot, the price should be good. This mod may require added irrigation equipment for drought or for sandy soils, growing trees as wind brakes (may require tree planting outside field areas). Being able to dig drainage and run off channels in the maps.

Not nit picking, just trying to get even more realism.
Great game, thank you.

If they make it to real, no one will buy the game, but im all for the vintage tractors and equipment, and wildlife will add a lively touch to the game.

According to Wiki there are dozen upon dozens of types of herding, droving and guardian dogs (or just a pal). Nearly every area of the world has its own breeds so I am not expecting models of all of them, just a dozen or so breeds which cover the sale areas of the players of this game. Similarly the other vermin and other wild animals just a few to add to the experiance. (Meet a bear in the woods would make you think twice about leaving you tractor!) And wild life would give you dog somthing to chase.

We have no idea tbh, my dad and his friends were cruiseing around in the back roads, and they found him running on the side of the road, so they stopped and he jumped in, nobody came to pick him up, so we kept him, had him since i was in 8th grade.
