Farming Simulator 19: Farm like never before!
Re: Farming Simulator 19: Farm like never before!
I guess competitive or not will be up to the gamers to decide the type of gaming style ...
In a closed/private server this is rather easy to administrate ... but in an open MP game ... it gets more complicated ...

You can give other teams access to your equipment so they can help you out, this has been confirmed by Rahkiin in the Dutch discord channel =)

Ye, I'm thinking all those things will be possible, wouldn't make sense to separate farms without giving to option to transfer money.
Hoping for a really detailed Dev blog about all this =P

This. This is THE main reason why I avoid multiplayer. Farming Simulator is THE ONLY game out there that stops everything everyone on the server is doing when someone wants to connect or even disconnect. And if you have a buddy on that is having a bad internet day ... yeah best to just give up for the time being. Every other game I have ever experienced always has it up to the person connecting to sync, etc., without affecting players who are already connected.GothicKing13 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 23, 2018 11:57 am ... my biggest gripe about Multiplayer. As for trolls, that one is easy ... I do not believe in Public Servers. The closest I get to "public" is if I invite select viewers from my live stream, and even then you only get invited if you have been with the stream for a while (months even) and have proven what kind of individual you are through mature participation. Outside of streaming, the only time I will ever play this game MP is with close friends whom I trust.

What other games do you play that have to sync as much between every player as farming simulator?
Re: Farming Simulator 19: Farm like never before!
Sea of thieves. Vermintide, state of decay, pretty much all games that use player games to host. If they have servers specific to hosting the game and running continously like battlefield, gta, cod, then sync won't happen because everything happens in the background and is saved on the server.

Sometimes stream, depends how I feel

I do the exact same thing Faelandaea, i only play with people i trust, i dont like random people coming in and messing up my system that i like to play in, and if i meet a new person, i have to get to know them before i decide anything, yeah ill help out by giving tips and tricks to noobs as you guys call it, but i wont invite them to my saved game, were on the same page there man.Faelandaea wrote: ↑Mon Jul 23, 2018 11:29 pmThis. You've got to remember that most games don't have the shear amount of data to sync as Farming Simulator, a 2km*2km area where every chunk of ground (is each 1m?) has to hold unique data.
Certainly for those joining it's a necessary evil. Hopefully they can minimise the disruption for those already in the server at some point though.

I dont know if Lisertan or anyone might have an answer to this but, in the first cgi trailer back in February, what tractor was it in the that trailer? it was not an 8R, clearly you can see that when compared to the new one?
Re: Farming Simulator 19: Farm like never before!
I think it was a Fendt.
If my memory serves well, Lisertan talked about it on the sunday live stream of farmcon.
They originally intended to put the 8R but then didn't want risk being recognized via bolts and nuts and the shape of the arms etc.

Re: Farming Simulator 19: Farm like never before!
Yeah I think someone took a screenshot messed with the lighting and then deduced it to be a 7R so lis had them change the rims and identifying features that could be seen in the picture to throw away speculation of it being a John Deere
Re: Farming Simulator 19: Farm like never before!
Yes i had not when through and read all the post but does anybody have any idea if we're going to be able to load r on milk on console and sell it in fs19.
