That's rigth, however, if you do not intend to buy an highend gaming pc, you will never know, if your PC can handle it with the new hardware and it would be a shame if it couldn't and you wasted some money, since you have to buy some new again.
And my last sentence still stands, due to this coin mining thing, the GPUs are still above average prices, so why waste money, if your old one still works and the new one isn't needed yet.

My rig is just barely delivering what I want for FS17 ... and it is well above the specs for the game.

But with high settings and lots of objects that needs to be rendered (after some hours in to a "savegame") it is really on the limit.
W1der I can't help but think something else is up if that's the case. On paper I only have half or two-thirds the hardware capacity that you list in your signature, and I run FS17 flawlessly on Very High Custom with a boatload of mods.

Dont get me wrong ... my game performs good with my current settings!
And for FS17 I could recommend this rig.

I am probably not the "average gamer" when it comes to how I play this game.
Just looked in the vehicles.xml for one of my savegames and there is +300 placeable objects.
This savegame is still stable ...

But I have other savegames where my hardware is having problems keeping up ... :)

Some think this game is playable at 30 FPS ... I am not one of them ... I want rock solid 60 FPS ... ;)

Max settings with everything cranked up on "custom" also?

Not if you want a TV that can actually do true HDR. Just because a TV says HDR on the box, doesn't mean it can properly display it.

1080p 60FPS with the draw distance and such cranked up in the XML, a 1050ti would struggle with that on a lot of maps.

I get what he's saying though, after building a solid PC, I found the game on even my PS4 Pro to be unplayable.

Turbojugend wrote: Thu Mar 15, 2018 4:16 pm Lis, are you able to comment on whether or not this new engine will increase draw distance? I can't judge from those screens, but that's one of the areas of FS17 that is visually jarring.
Draw distance is set on a per-map basis in the XML of the map itself. You can edit this in FS17 by opening the map file in a text editor (Notepad ++ is good for this) and modifying the correct values. Google can help to find the values you need to modify. Also this only applies to PC, not console.

Lisertan, any idea on when we will get actual specs and maybe a exporter? I also heard in a video by BradM73 that there is a "DEVELOPER'S GUIDE" and if this is a fact a link to it would be helpful. I know 3ds max, do not use blender and have but do not use maya that much but will NEED to get up to speed but I am spinning my wheels without knowing what is needed.

I mean IF we are going PBR there will be a stand alone engine like unity or unreal or Stingray we can use to see what the content will look like right?
