I suspected as much, but didn't want to outright assume. Curious why those would be considered "conventional" balers, whereas the larger square and round balers are not (in this case).

What do you mean by "conventional baler" (curious)? We already have both round and square balers?
Small bales you can move by hand. Like the ones in the classics pack. They would be much easier for horses or small amounts of cows or sheep.

“Mini squire balers” I guess is what it be commonly known as but it’s technical/actual name is conventional baler...like the one in the farming classics pack. Those size bales but with a modern Case IH, New Holland, and/or John Deere baler. They are very common in the US.

I guessing what he means in a old baler that produces small square bales that you can handle by hand.

I just want more older equipment in general. I think it would make the farm building feature that much more interesting.

I don't think is a odd suggestion honestly. With the concept of building a farm from nothing it would actually seem weird to start with brand new equipment, having to work up to the nice new shiny stuff would add a lot to the game.

That's not the only game option, I rather doubt they are going to waste there precious time modeling old (outdated) equipment.

Even with the new hard game mode you dont need old equipment... just small equipment...

Edit: I would like to see an open cab option for some of the small tractors, the cabs are an expensive luxury for some jobs. And just starting out with a small farm isent a needed expense.

They are out of date by today's standards, about the only place you're going find them is a very small farm, or someone that has horses. For the regular farmer who has dairy or beef cattle, large bales are the only way to go, they are more practical, and time saving.

Which NONE of this has anything to do with this Fact Sheet Friday post.

Nonsense. Small packages are always handy, wether it is straw or hay. Calves need bedding and food too. Sure you can use it from big packs aswell, but it's not for nothing that Krone also offers small binding packages in big baler packs.

Friends of me farm in North Dakota with 1500 milk cows. They use large round hay and straw bales, large straw square bales and ALOT of small straw bales.

And here in Europe, you see small squares still alot being used.
