I'm the other way, I haven't seen a small bale on field in over 10 years. But if you're surround by Amish, that is probably why.

Actually, amish use both large and small. I have seen them pulling round balers and the small balers with horses. I know JD makes some specifically for them. The small balers are very much still in production, there is no reason to not have them in FS.

But all this talk about bales, my only hope for bales in 19 is better physics... 17 was leaps above 15 in handling them, but they still went bonkers at times...

There are no Amish around me and I see about a 50/50 mix of small square bales and the big bales.

i also think it would be cool if we could feed nutritional supplements to our animals...give horses a salt block, put mineral mix in cattle feed, and have different nutritional quality based off of the grounds location and use. We saw a mod like this for 15 and maybe 17. It would be cool if we could spread or inject certain nutrients into the soil with bulk granules or through manure... A crop rotation yield boost would be cool to see too. I also believe it could be handy (going along with the conventional bales idea) to be able to buy different seed and fertilizer bags. There is a mod for this on pc where you can get 60lbs bags of stuff. It would also be neat to have to buy the kind of seed you want to instead of seed being universal for all crops since that is unrealistic. I suppose at a trigger it would be ok but when purchasing from the shop, it would be neat to see different bags for each seed type and fertilizer type that vary in price by their seed/fertilizer type.

As in any game, the Dev's draw the line at certain areas when comes to being realistic, for play-ability issues in-game.

I suppose, it would be a neat cross platform mod I guess...Has there been any mention of an option to change units to american conversion? Instead of just dollars and miles, what if things were measured in bushels and lbs/tons...I know there are mods for this but it’s tough for console players to enjoy those luxuries.

Imperial system has been requested for a long time. My Nephew is a career programmer , does small games on the side, and says it would take very little time to program FS with game settings with the option of imperial or metric, why they haven't done it is just one of the weird things about Giant. Just like GPS being used by farms for almost 20 years, and yet GPS is no where to be seen in 19.
Unfortunately we are going to have to probably rely on the mod community, I'm on a PC, but of course most mods won't run for console. This is shy it would solve the console/mod issue, if Giant would just add it it to the base game. Its like talking to the wall, they say they listen, but apparently they don't, and do what they want, no matter what customers want!

They have added a toggle between acres and hectares but that's all I've heard.

Unless that is the base for everything, it would take more than that for a complete conversion from metric to imperial.

I never seen any Amish around me using balers Wow I wonder how that works.. because the amish around me they use old stuff pulled by horses. they have no electric,. they don't believe in all of this(tractors, cars, trucks, electric.) We call them Old Order Amish....... and then we have the Mennonite they are allowed to have tractors but not with rubber wheels they have to be metal wheels, they do not own any vehicles, they too get around with horse and buggy.. and some Mennonite have electric...

This is what an Amish Straw field looks like around me..

And this is all that straw that was in that field, they load it by pitchfork..
Image

This is how Amish pick up Hay..

Amish buggy going down the road..

Mennonite with metal tires on the tractor and yes they tear up the roads..

Just google amish baler, and you will see. I don't live near any, but as a flatbed trucker I have delivered to and seen quite a few amish communities...

You would be totally wrong, what they can do/use is all controlled by the bishop in there area. I have actually seen them pulling a gas powered baler with horses. I have a Amish run sawmill near me, they use electric motors to power hydraulics. All of the hand operated equipment is powered by hydraulic motors. Amish all around me are allowed to own, and run Skid steers.
