If I'm not mistaken they are doing this since FS15. But I'm not sure.
The only thing that bothered me on sound wise was the "always on" idling noise.
I don't know if anyone else also noticed that but idling noise is always there in the background regardless how hard you are on the throttle.
I hope this is fixed for FS19.

On the Garage trailer it states Fendt 1050 specifically, not Fendt 1000 series. On the games page all tractors with configurable engine options have the main series number. Could this mean the Fendt 1050 is the only version, and we cannot choose the engine size? Just curious....

Oh an I really do hope we can choose the Black Beauty option...
