That's a valid reason.ace54858 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 2:56 amPC's may be better is less restriction's nothing more.Lesser_weevil wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 1:30 am I don't mind waiting. Re: [FS19] Patch 1.2. 12.12.2018
Guys can anyone help explain this my ps4 sais version 1.02??if i go into libarary click fs19 then click detail, But i havnt had a download and ingame still sais 1.1? Could this mean the release is iminant? Im confused as to why it would say 1.02 and not 1.01
Re: [FS19] Patch 1.2. 12.12.2018
What you see in the library or desktop on your PS4 is Sony's version number (1.02). The one in the game menu on the top left corner is Giants build number (1.1.0.0) and Giants talk on those numbers when it comes to updates and patches of the game.

Thanks rodha but allso if you click on update history its sais 1.01 various bug fixes and improvements then above it it sais 1.02 various bug fixes and improvements so thats 2 seperate updates to me? So confusing
Re: [FS19] Patch 1.2. 12.12.2018
As far as I know, the game should have been uploaded to PS store some time before the release. So, after it is uploaded to PS store, any update or patch (likethe day 1 patch) is processed separately. So, although you download only one version when the game is released it has actually been updated twice in the background before even you download it. Thats probably why there are multiple versions in the update history.

No prob
Btw, I'm not really hyped with the 1.2 patch because as far as patch log goes, there are still issues which don't seem to get fixed. Instead we get this landscaping feature. I really don't understand Gaints priorities sometimes.
Anyways, FS19 will be a whole and complete game within 6 months time at the most.
I've no doubt on that. It is just the waiting and struggling with the present issues that makes me frustrated at times.

Re: [FS19] Patch 1.2. 12.12.2018
People asked for a way to level the ground when they put a pen or building or shed down. Giants said they had already been working on the landscaping but it wasn't ready. Finally they released it to PC users and gave people what they'd asked for. The Console users have to wait until permission is sought to release the changes to them also. They have to do this so it too gets looked at by the users and changes and needs are reported. I'd guess they had people working on this and others on the faults.

Re: [FS19] Patch 1.2. 12.12.2018
TBH same the landscaping is cool and needed yes but there are a lot more issues I'm finding that I'd like sorting first and TBH I don't trust that this patch is even going to work or make the game worse but hopefully not and yeah it's going to take a while to get this game where it should be and I can't wait but like you it is very frustrating sometimes especially when there's bugs that were in the previous game and shouldn't be there now but still are but just have to be patient I guess as I know giants will get there in the end
Re: [FS19] Patch 1.2. 12.12.2018
Its often a simple truth. Developers tend to be specialized. It could very well be that the people working on landscaping weren't needed for bugfixing at present, that the bugs being worked on didn't fall into their area of expertise. Same as mods coming out while bugs are being fixed. Some artists likely work on fixing issues with existing models, whilst others, rather than sitting idle, will work on new content.RODHA wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 2:27 pmNo prob

There's of course also the balance of bringing in new things versus merely fixing things, and landscaping was meant to be in at launch but had to be delayed, so it does make sense to try and bring it in somewhat early, and then address any issues it introduces in further, early patches to smooth it over sooner rather than later.

Doesn't look like it will come today. Any chance the update can come on a weekend?, or will we have to wait till Monday or tuesday?
Re: [FS19] Patch 1.2. 12.12.2018
Monday Tuesday I'd say... providing it passed Microsoft and Sony's test I'd hope giants would let us know if it does or not but never know

Console players will know when Sony and MS have passed the patch and set it for download before Giants, unless of course either console have an issue that needs addressing first, then Giants will notify console players. All in due time people, all in due time.
