Re: [FarmCon20]Program Overview
I remember the FS19 behind the scenes video where sound engineers went to record some big Fend tractor sounds.
I can't really comment on the quality of the engine sound, I've never been near a modern tractor, but there were many people here complaining about it.

I think the reason for that compaint is (rightfully) the fact that in game vehicle sounds doesn't feel as good as they should with regard to that specific video. They advertised it like they put out an enormous effort to obtain those sounds but the end result was not even close.
PS5 / FS22

You also have silvernews using a clickbait title of fs21 sounds, which will get people thinking that the next game is fs21 and they will display the sounds for it.
1300 acre farm, finish out just about 10,000 hogs a year, 200 cattle, and xbox one and pc user.

The start of every Silvernews title:

Yeah, the titles are baits, but the content isn't bad.
I used to avoid him because of the titles, but having daily updates scouting various sources has won me over.
Other than that he just seems like a good young lad trying a lot.

Re: [FarmCon20]Program Overview
I remember the sound recording video on the Fendt 10xx well. Just driving it around the grounds under no strain. That came across in game in the vehicles, where it sometimes sounds like you're free-wheeling downhill, even if you're dragging a subsoiler or plough behind you!
Self propelled prayers are particularly bad for this I've noticed.
In reality most agricultural vehicles don't free-wheel, more they're set in a specific gear (if applicable) and rev-range for a specific job. I appreciate it would be almost impossible to model that accurately across thousands of possible combinations, but even an approximation would be better than what FS19 had. FS17 was far better in this regard.
I do think GIANTS would benefit a lot from seeing their equipment and especially vehicles hard at work doing field work, or even watching more videos, or have them on constantly on a TV in the offices. It would lead them to creating a much more immersive game.
These videos are probably more videos about general info about sound design, QA and so on. They've done similar video presentations at every FarmCon I can remember.

Yeah it's far too early. Based on previous game releases and assuming an intended release of autumn 2021 we're still probably 6+ months away from even the first teaser CGI video and 12 months away from any snippets of first looks. All very much subject to change with FS2x if Focus aren't involved though.

Re: [FarmCon20]Program Overview
I think they need more time for the next FS title.
As one of the devs who worked on the mudrunner said he would love to see the physics and mud from that game in the next FS, this is a normal sequence of events that players expect.
The next Giants have 'Head of Publishing' from April 1, which means that for the next FS title they will not be the Focus Home publisher, as they themselves said in their report. Focus will release all content for the current FS.
We are left with just waiting and hoping for the best.
