First Look at the new crops in Farming Simulator 22

Post by Chaki »

Farming Simulator 22 introduces three new crops: Grapes, olives and sorghum. Thanks to the new production chains, you can even process them further.
Let's take a first look at the new crops and what you can do with them.

That first picture especially, with the vines - please lose (or at least let us disable) that horrific bloom effect.

Don't forget that it's a cinematic trailer / CGI

Almost nothing to do with in game render. We'll have to wait until we see ingame footage to bash or applause :)

No it's not, it's a screenshot. Scroll past the trailer.

Oh this one, my bad, got a bit too fast to reply.

You're right, and I hope they will let us choose to show the bloom/lense/flare effect or not.

Since we introduce production chains with Farming Simulator 22, you can process the new crops after harvesting. Only if you want to, though!

What do you make out of grapes? Fine and tasty grape-juice, of course (what else would you do with this delicious fruit that's enjoyable for all ages?).
Yeah, what else right? :wink3:

There is one thing I don't understand, the article says "harvest season for olives is only in September". In reality this is not the case, the olives harvest season runs from late October to mid-December.

Depends on the region.

For exemple in spain : Normally olive harvest season is centered between end of September and the month of October.
Different in France, NZ, Australia..

The grapes and olives looks very bad. They form a pattern that is repeated.. in reality you won't see something like that.
I feel that they need to put more attention, for me a simple thing like a random rotation applied on each grapes/olives tree could help a lot to avoid patterns!
This two new fruits looks a lot better on a competitor farming game launched 4 years ago!
I hope is work in progress.

I'm surprise that anyone pointed out that they talked about MONTHS!

It seems that seasons will bring Months to the game, instead of just the season (early, mid, late) !
