Thanks Amboss, thats a reliefAmboss wrote:Hi all,
you can relax, we've worked with Sony to find a solution that works for both sides and nothing has changed since then. Mod support for both platforms, Xbox One AND PS4, will be available at Farming Simulator 17's launch.

Does anybody know if Saitek has plans to update the wheel and control panel at all before the release date? I'm deciding if I should just go ahead and buy it now or wait to see if they change it at all.

Re: [FS17] Feedback
My guess would be the Saitek FS wheel will work in FS17 just fine. Otherwise, it has just become a costly boat anchor for some users. Plus Saitek wouldn't have signed up for a "one and done" use application such as FS15. While I have no official information, practical sense says it will work just fine.
However, the "Wheel Support" that Giants has indicated will be better is wheel support in general. The wheel support in FS15 is not very robust when compared to that available in similar games such as ETS2 and ATS. So fingers crossed, FS17 will recognize our non-Saitek wheels such as the Logitech G27/G29 and joysticks etc.

Re: [FS17] Feedback
Great to see Giants has cleared up the story on mod support, how will the mods be accessible on PS4? Will it be through the store? Also are the mods on Giants website going to be the mods that are available? Thanks

Re: [FS17] Feedback
A mod is a mod is a mod???
Here's a question those of you who are console gamers should consider....
How will Sony/Microsoft handle trademark/brand infringement issues? Example, John Deere.
My guess is Sony/Microsoft will block most trademark/branded equipment from their mod catalog to prevent any legal issues. Perhaps I'm wrong....but it is something you all should think about. Especially if you are under the assumption that all mods are created equal and everything available for PC will automagically be made available for consoles. Things are a little different.

Re: [FS17] Feedback
Speaking for myself only...my main interest is in maps... a tractor is a tractor is a tractor (for the puposes of this game).. horsepower being the main ingredient in selection not brand... I sure dont fall into the whole green vs red debate that churns mostly below the 49th parallel... unless its green with red rims...hahahahaJTaylor801 wrote:A mod is a mod is a mod???

I would tend to think not just anyone is going to be able to put up mods for download... it think they will need to be screened, tested first by Giants / Sony... a lot of infringement issues will be stopped early.

Re: [FS17] Feedback
The mod list on Giants own website are decent and would be welcomed on console platforms, the fendt katana and JD combine all on Giants site so surely will be available on console?? Also has there been any thought to self propelled windrowers?
