There are no messages saying a crop is fully grown.
Wow that was quick! Thank you.

Many thanks for your previous replies, my harvesting has been a great success!

However...

In the youtube vids I've seen the harvester leaves a line of straw(?) behind it. My first harvest was soya beans and I assumed they don't make straw, but my next was wheat which I thought would leave straw. I've pressed the (.) key whilst in my harvester which is supposedly "Enable straw swathe" but I get nowt out of the back of my harvester. What am I doing wrong?

Cheers in advance,

BoxTunnel.

Wheat and barley should leave straw. Make sure the harvester is stopped, and the blades not spinning when you press the "enable" key. That is how I do it.

IME you can only toggle dropping straw when you are driving the harvester. If a helper is operating it you cannot change dropped straw, while the helper is driving.

Also it's the "," (comma) key, not the "." (period) key if you're unsure.

You can set the harvester to drop straw then hire a worker, but it is true you can not change it with worker driving.

Selling silage bales

I am playing on computer on normal on Goldcrest map. The listed price currently for silage at the barn is $456 per 1,000 litres . When I sell a 4,000 litre bale I am getting about $750 dollars. This does not seem to make sense. Anyone know if there is an issue with this area. I am using the seasons mod plus a number of others. Only just started playing.

This has been answered in the seasons thread. Silage bales have a considerably lower price than loose silage. This was done on purpose.
I assume people don't use Seasons, unless they say otherwise.

As per my thread above. So the price of about 750 for a 4,000 litre silage bale is about right?

Is there a way to slow down the tractor speed? I use a keyboard for game control. But the basic speed of the tractor is pretty fast, especially for field work. Is there only one tractor speed? Thanks :confusednew:
