It works, I'm just not sure what you tried. It works in a combination of pushing LMB and moving the mouse at the same time, I think it was up and down. A different way to move the tailgate would be de using the J and N keys.
I assume people don't use Seasons, unless they say otherwise.

Stupid question but is it possible to load small logs into a tipper? I’m in the beginning of a map and wanted to cut down some tress and load small logs into a tipper and unload them at the sawmill.

Don't think so. You can load them into the back of the pick up truck though, will need a log trailer for the logs.

I know on the Branter trailer you can throw them in to the back if they're light enough to pick up by hand

If they are small logs that can be picked up you can put them into a trailer they just don't get secured in and you could lose them with erratic driving. Even trailers with covers don't keep them secured, but you can still do it. This is how I do my forestry work when I do it.

I was testing a few tippers because of the same reason and for me was important: Could I throw logs by hand in it? Could I put longer logs half in it? Could the tipper tip booth of this?

Sorry for my English...

Best tipper was theACE 16000 low sides, big open in the back:

Edit: To unload: Drive while opening backwarts and brake hard!

Yeah I always use a tipper for logging when I'm starting out. Use my loader on my tractor to pick up the heavier logs.
Some tippers are better than others but they all work as far as I know. *thumbsup*

without any mods, only haybales can be wrapped, grass bales and straw bales won't be accepted

edit: i mixed them up: correct is: only grass can be wrapped, but not hay or straw.

You can wrap Hay - Hay will stay the same just protected from the elements
You can wrap Grass - Grass will turn into silage.
You can not wrap straw.

what do you mean by leftovers of wheat?
Did you unload some of your wheat by accident, then just use a shovel.
Do you mean the straw, which the harvester drops during harvest? That can be picked up by a forage wagon or pressed to bales with a baler (tip: use a square baler, thse are more easy to handle)
Do you play on a mod Map with chopped straw mod? If so, just use a cultivator.
