Horsch Maestro 12sw

Post by slamshutt »

I just realized that the Horsch Maestro 12sw carries 7000 fert and only 2000 seed. is this a glitch or did I do something wrong? I reset it and filled seed first still same results. I'm not a farm planter expert but used a few in RL. the planters I used always carried more seed then fert.

Nope, that is identical to the real one.

If you have the Kuhn DLC use the extra seed tank on the front of a tractor if you can, and you gain an extra 1500L of seed.

This thing alone make the dlc worth the price imo...

The problem isn't the volume of fertilizer vs the volume of seed. The problem is the inaccurate application of fertilizer or seed per acre/hectare. In reality, fertilizer, in volume, is applied 2-3 times to that of seed corn.

I haven't figured out the application rate in game to know which one is off, I just know that it's not accurate.

Yeah I feel like I'm doing 60000 seed per acre lol.

seed dispersion rate per hectare also varies by seed in the game... some crops use more seed per hectare than others. What may seem unbalanced on some crops is less so on others...

Fertiliser to seed application ratio is totally screwed up IMO. Just planted Field 12 on Goldcrest Valley with sunflowers using the Maestro 12 SW - ran out of seed (2000L used) with around 2/3 of the field done and still have 6924L (98%) of fertiliser on board.

The Maestro 12sw wouldn't get many sales IRL with that sort of performance; nor should it in game.

Update to my post above - spent some time disabling mods and it turns out my issues were largely due to the Vielle France (v1) map (from Modhub) which very helpfully increases seed usage rates on any other map you play -_-

Ya it is pretty poor, it is the same problem with the row crop planter from the kuhn dlc.
