Morning, I have heard from a fs club that there will be no mod released in till after the new DLC is out. Is this right? Sorry if it has been asked or mention before.

And is that rumor based on something or just a made up stroy as they usually are?

That's why I was asking to see if there is any truth behind the claims

I'm not a Giants official but I really don't think so.
And I don't remember such rumor blasted around this forum before.

I can't see them holding 80+ mods 2+weeks but a slowdown is possible with final testing most likely being done now on ROPA DLC.

Lisertan recently gave some insights on how the mod testing works over in the german section of the forum: viewtopic.php?f=881&t=123743&p=971516&h ... pa#p971516 (sorry, too long to translate, use Google Translate or some other tool to translate if needed, or ask Lisertan to provide this info in English as well).

This is what Google Translate comes up with.
Thanks for the link don_apple :hi:

I give a little insight into the modteam:

Our mod-test team is also the QA team. Our QA team means testing mods as soon as they have some air. The guys are also testing the ROPA DLC and here and there things for LS19 ect. So there is no exact time when you test or who tests exactly.

The whole thing runs off so that they have popped mods on the systems (PC or consoles halt) and quasi prepare for the test. My list in this forum is just that. All the mods that I list are "ready for testing". This may mean that they are being tested in the second, or will be viewed in the next few minutes / hours.

Once done, there are 3 options. Option 1: The test fails. Then the mod flies out of the test, the modder gets the info and ready. Possibility 2 and 3 are: The test works. If option 2 the QAler then flags the mod as "passed" and starts to test the next mod. After a while, QA pushes all the mods that existed on the server that day (or maybe the evening before). That's the most common way mods come to the servers. Possibility 3 is basically the same, but instead of setting the mod to "passed", you simply release it immediately. This is extremely rare, usually when only 1 mod to test is there.

That's why mods often come in the evening, or in the morning. Because QA tests up to (fictitious times) 5pm, then upload the 10 successful mods or test until evenings and then upload everything the next morning.

I hope that gives you a little insight into the mod-test work

Right, I would love a macdon header in this game, really any header that doenst necessarily go with a certain combine. I know we have some for corn but none for grains

^^ I second that. Especially the MacDon's. I don't know why but they just look cool.

That was my cynical opinion with the west coast map release ( complete rubbish though) I thought they were holding back because of the South American dlc. Totally agree with you Rodha most of the best big mods have just been dropped in without warning and after the west coast frenzy I don’t blame giants one bit
