I think what Lindydanny is saying that he plowed them so he could use or hire workers because since the fields are not pre plowed you cannot use workers. like on Baltic sea map all the grass fields are pre plowed so you can hire workers.

Yes, plow so I can hire workers is what I was getting at.

Grass fields can be used with hired workers fine without needing to plough them (except pastures which don't have field definitions set, such as those for sheep and cattle). :confusednew:

If a map doesn't do this then I assume the mapper hasn't bothered to set up field definitions on the grass fields.

That's exactly what he's talking about. If you want your worker to work a grass field that has not been set up as a field by the map maker, you have to plow it first.

Yep. And the nice, large pastures that have no field definition on this map do need to be plowed. No worries, though. A nice fat loan and a wide plow make for a relaxing, almost zenful experience.

Hmm, I can see that's a bit annoying ^^
I assume people don't use Seasons, unless they say otherwise.

Plowing and mowing are the two most relaxing jobs in the game to me. I prefer a moldboard plow just for the extra challenge of getting it right.

Fsclub has got a map tour on YouTube I watched, there's a few others on there. Looks good, animals on same farm, you start with an insane amount of equipment, loads of decent sized fields, you also start with pigs and cows with their feed full and a variety of grain in your solo.

Haven't tried it myself yet but can't wait

Just wonderful. I don't play small maps, cuz I'm a big guy(obviously) but this map is the one that changed me. It feels small while delivering room to maneuver moderate sized equipment. The scenery is stunning. When I start a map the first thing I do is delete as many trees as possible, but they are safe on this save. Lol Imagine the most perfect Sosnovka you can, & you have Baltic Sea.

Yep. I love this map. I also found a placeable area that you can buy. after you buy it the barriers disappear.

On the Baltic Sea I see you start with animals so do you have to do the buy and sell trick when using seasons?

There's a few invisible walls in places but nothing too major. The fields most inland by the big green area are mostly decorations until the barrier spots are removed. You can walk around on foot all the way to the edge of the map where it teleports you back to the farm, but too many snags for equipment up there. Literally the only thing I've found. The stack of tires by the silage pit can be picked up & thrown on top of the silage tarp, which is really really cool. Some next level immersion.
