Railroad

Post by Erica Von »

can I store crops in the railroad silos?
and are they all interconnected I think I read some where that they hold 300k per Item like wheat, barley ect.
Now next question there are a number of different ones say I fill up the silo near my farm in GCV can I still use the next one near the town and still have 300k space for wheat there?

Yes you can store your crops in the railroad silos, all of the silos are separate so you can fill them all up separately. If you fill one up completely you can move on to the next one and start with an empty silo.

thanks, at least I don't have to buy another expensive silo extension lol.
Are there any storage fees I have to pay for storing grain in railroad silos?

Yes you are charged per day to store anything at the railroad but if you put it in the train it's free.

It depends on the railcar, I think 100K in two of them and I'm not sure about the other. On GCV I use the train with an overloader for all the big fields in the top right corner of the map because I put them all into the same crop for a huge harvest.

You can store 500,000 of each crop at the two railroad points-the one by field 11 and the one by field 7 & 8, as well as 300,000 in the two trains. Front car is 120,000 and the other two are 90,000 each. The rail drop across from the diner on the north end of town does not accept potatoes or sugar beets and do not know how much of the other crops you can store there because I haven't used it yet--the other storage was full of both so I tried dumping them there and it did not accept them.

Loaded 90k of barley looked like it filled the first car and 75% of the second.

Just keep filling each car until it won't take anymore that way you know the train car is full, takes out the guess work.

Yep, the first two are actually one car and hold the most.
