It's not bug, the game just doesn't allow 2 types of product to be dumped at the same spot. Hay doesn't mix with grass, so it keeps it "inside" to drop it first time it can on an empty spot (only while machine is running).

Likely, as I don't think you can have a worker on the chopper pickup on grass fields.
So unless he uses followme or partly destructive reversed use of cultivators/deep plougs in the fronthitch to let a tractor trailer combination work by hired work, he has to drive the chopper on his own with a trailer.

You know what is even easier, cut down a few times without picking up making it full spread over the field, then turn it into hay with the tedder and then mow it again. The grass doesn't leave the mower, and you can dump it anywhere you want. So you can take the ENTIRE field with you to the silage dump in your tiny little mower. I suggest only using a front mower then, as that empties easier in the silage pit due to the width

Here are the numbers per Hectacre on a fully plowed and fertilized field:
Corn 143,112 L
Grass 82,772 L
Barley 76,418 L
Wheat 70,660 L
Canola 34,701 L
Soybeans 22,915 L

Note that corn, barley, and wheat can be whole cropped in the final growth stage or any 'ready to harvest' stage. The yields are the same no matter which stage. Canola and soybeans can only be whole cropped in the ready to harvest stage.

In the process of my first chaff/silage cycle.
in Sosanova or bassanova or .. chevy nova .. whatever that Russian map is..

Used corn, put a little over 5 million units across 3 clamps. (2.2million-ish is full BTW)
Didn't realize I couldn't sell it via tipper trailer.. now i'm playing with conveyors for the first time. (I still haven't played with everything)

price drops every time conveyors stop .. trying to keep them fed via 2x trucks carting 115k each.

Not sure if this is more or less profitable than just farming
