Priorities for the next game in the series?

Post by MrSquealypig »

I don't know how big Giants is or how their development process works, but I've heard even some triple-A publishers can take 4 or more years to finish a single game. I would be surprised if Giants hasn't at least started to think about ideas for the next console/PC version, so now would probably be a good time to give our input about what we what we want most in the next iteration.

Please rank the following items in order of importance to you or just pick a few you like the most

-New crops that can be produced/harvested with equipment already in game.
-New crops that require new types of equipment.
-New types of livestock.
-More interaction with livestock (e.g. treating sick/injured animals, hand-feeding, etc.)
-New brands of types of equipment already in the game (e.g. [brand name] tractors)
-More maps created by Giants (i.e. not modded maps)
-More steps in the supply chain (instead of "grow crop A, sell crop A for money", you could "grow crop A, take to plant to be made into product A or product B, use/sell product A or B")
-Improved graphics/textures
-Homesteading (i.e. being able to customize appearance and location of your home/farm buildings/other structures on your property)
-More side jobs (e.g. delivering milk produced by your cows to homes)
-Addition of seasonality/different weather conditions
-Gardening by hand (and with shovels, hoes, other hand tools.)
-Improved game mechanics/vehicle handling
-Other (specify what you want)

Personally, I would be MOST interested in:

1. New crops that require new types of equipment
2. More interaction with livestock.
3. More steps in the supply chain
4. Homesteading
5. Gardening by hand

And I am LEAST interested in:

1. More maps created by Giants
2. Improving graphics/textures
3. New brands of types of equipment already in the game
4. Addition of seasonality/different weather conditions
5. New crops that can be produced/harvested by equipment already in the game.

Tell me what you folks think!

It dont really matter what you say/do, Giants will make the game the way they want it, you'd be lucky if you see a suggestion you made that will make it ingame, Giants will decide what needs tweaked/improved, what needs added, what features to introduce. Whatever Giants decides to do, ill still play it, but just a reminder, if they make it like the exact thing, no one will buy it.

Seasons integrated and more realistic weather would be my top things.
