I too was wondering about that...Maybe one of giants team can give an solid answer here? Lis? Anyone??

Why not disguise the beacon lights as hazard flashers?You turn on the becons the hazard lights turn on,turn the beacoff the hazards go off.

Could it be due to limited number of controls on console? Controllers only have so many buttons...

Sort of ..

You can plug a USB keyboard into your Xbox and it should work. So now you have a LOT of keys.
or
I buy the chatpad and have a keyboard on my controller. Although very few games make use of it

On console press you R1/RB and then on your D-pad click the direction you want to indicate and to put you beacon on press the same button and press up on the d-pad. Hope this helps!

Beacon is not the same as hazards lights.

You can if you hook a keyboard to the console on my xbox one I hooked up my keyboard and used numpad 2 and it turned on 4 ways
