Sussex Farm....Excellent Map.

Post by Zetor9145 »

What a glorious map Sussex farm is, I am amazed how nobody that I can see has commented on it that I have seen.

There is a load of little surprises and some nice big hardstandings for placeables, The animals are nice and close to one another. Collisions on the hedges, The straw points for the animals.
Top work Alien Jim. I just love this map, It's hilly, The views are brilliant, 10/10 for this. Going to delete Who Dat who der ranch and the West Coast as I think this map easily equals those and some.

I agree, this map IS pretty cool. Haven't drove around the whole place, but what I see is nice. Oh yeah, the girl running the fruit and veggie stand is really hot too.

To be honest, haven't bothered with the seasons mod at all so couldn't tell you. Sorry.

I think it says so I'm the description or maybe that's rosewood farm. I've downloaded both but haven't tried either yet.

Sussex Farm does not appear to be Seasons enabled although I am running it with the Seasons mod.
Just tried adding snow and snow appears everywhere including in buildings and if the season is set to autumn only some of the trees change colour.

Also there are some odd looking trees on the road outside the shop at least in early spring.
The other drawback with this and other maps if using the Seasons mod is the price of fields. The filed prices are too high given the more realistic crop growth and the fact that the missions rewards are so low that they are not worth doing.

BulletBill and OxygenDavid have made the West Coast map a lot better by reducing the field prices to something more in keeping with the Seasons ecconomy.

Anyone know if this will be available to consoles once it passes beta?

If a mod is beta it just means that it can be uploaded to other sites than this one, so if the map maker chose to upload to other sites it will not be a console mod.

My understanding was that beta meant it was recently submitted and is being checked for approval, according to the following:

So i guess we'll just have to wait and see if it gets approved for consoles.

No beta means the map is not fully finished

Definitely not. If it wasn't finished, it wouldn't be on ModHub.

Whilst watching Sealyp on YouTube, he said that a friend of his is the map author and he couldn't get it done for consoles.

You have the wrong understanding of the beta section. It may have mods that may still have problems or may work but not very good.
