It needs 240 HP, if you use all 240HP the tractor has, the tractor has nothing left for itself to run :)

The game doesn't recognize the difference between tractor and PTO power. If it did no one would be able to run the Pottinger triple mowers on any front PTO. It would be nice for future installments if the game would recognize PTO power ratings.

From right at the begining, this topic just buffled me :confusednew:
I've used all the available mixers including the Peecon.
Tell you what, all the time my tractors were always off. I don't keep them runing. But the mixer still mixes.
I didn't try it without being attached to a tractor but I think it would even work this way. For some reason mixing function doesn't require a runing engine.
Besides, some of the tractors I used so far were very small ones as I use the tractor just to pull the mixer.
So, I'm just surprised by this issue.
Or am I getting something wrong here? :confusednew:

Just because it was the most convenient tractor available yesterday I hooked up the Peecon with the Puma and it had no problem working. No idea if it makes a difference but I used loose product.

On the matter of hip requirements stated for each implement there must be some account for the running of the tractor already built-in otherwise most of them would require quadtracs or big buds surely?

Getting something wrong :biggrin2:
I hooked up all the tractors and tractors with HP below 280 the peecon won't work. but all the tractors that I hooked up with 280 or more HP worked.

How about hooking up a tractor but keeping it off?
I mean the engine doesn't run. I always do it this way. And it always works.

You can do that? I've always had to have the engine on for the machine to turn on

You guys making me feel terrified of my memory.
I'm not breeding cows right now but it wasn't too long when I was on Lawfolds and I did that.
The engine was off. Infact, I never leave the engine runing when it is hooked up to Peecon or any other mixer.
I can't be mistaken that much or remembering something completely wrong.
I'm either correct or I need to see a Dr.
I'll try tonight.

Your tractor hasn't got enough kilowatt power to run it, most equipment has a kW requirement and a hp requirement.

Lefe, are you trying to turn the peecon on from the controls manually?
What I meant in my previous posts is that I just put the bales or loose material in it and it starts mixing automatically without tractor's engine runing.
Every mixer does that. The engine is not required to run for mixing. Admitedly it is weird and probably a bug. But it works.
