Big Kickin Country

Post by WelshMat »

I just decided to get back into this Game after a hiatus and to my horror I found that the Big Kickin Country internet radio station that comes with the game has stopped working.

How come it's stopped working? I know I can run it through a browser in the background but it's useful to be able to control the radio in game rather than have to Alt-Tab.

Do we know if this is going to be fixed or am I bereft of Country when farming in the Mid West?

Cheers,
--Mat.

From listening to the message that used to come accross when you would tune into Big Kickin, I'm going to assume it was a money issue. The message seemed to indicate BKC didn't like FS getting access to their station and wanted users to listen to them though a different app.

Who needs a game radio station when you could listen to Keith Whitley or The Eagles?

Correct, we do have to pay song royalties to the artists for air play of their songs. Many FS17 players are located outside of the US and as a result lost a lot of money on paying royalties where we didn't have ad campaigns. Fast forward to today and we now have more countries outside of the US where we run geo targeted ads. We're excited to see GIANT Software using our radio station for FS 17 and future products.

The option to listen to us embedded right in the game is favorable for sure. We do stream 120+ channels covering every music genre you can possibly think of through our online website. Check us out at http://www.113.fm -- Thanks for your feedback too.
